The new Cayenne design
Porsche has decided to give its iconic Cayenne, one of the most popular luxury SUVs on the market, a makeover. The new design includes a front end with more arched wings, a new bonnet and headlights that highlight the vehicle’s width. High-definition Matrix LED headlights are standard and boast more than 32,000 pixels per headlamp. In addition, innovative anti-glare technology avoids annoying oncoming traffic, and the brightness can be adjusted.
The Porsche Driver Experience
The new Cayenne features a completely revised display and control concept: the Porsche Driver Experience. The most frequently used controls have been moved closer to the steering wheel, from the driver assistance systems to the automatic transmission selector lever now on the dashboard, leaving space in the centre console for storage compartments
The new engines
The new Cayenne debuts with three different engines. The first is a four-litre twin-turbo V8 with a maximum output of 474 hp and torque of 600 for a 0-100 for the coupé in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 273 km/h. The second is a 353 hp three-litre V6 turbo engine for the entry level version, which is also the heart of the Cayenne E-Hybrid, combined with a 176 hp electric motor, the combined output increases to 470 hp. The third is the ‘Turbo’ with a four-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 659 hp and enables zero-to-60 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h.
The Cayenne E-Hybrid
The new Cayenne E-Hybrid is powered by a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh, depending on the equipment level, offering a pure electric range according to the WLTP of up to 90 km. This model is an important innovation for those looking for a luxury SUV offering Porsche performance combined with environmental sustainability.
