According to a study published Sept. 27, 2022 in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, consuming two to three cups of coffee helps to live longer and prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease.
If you drink two to three cups of ground coffee a day, you have a 27 percent lower risk of dying than non-drinkers and a 20 percent lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
“The results suggest that light to moderate consumption of ground, instant and decaffeinated coffee should be considered part of a healthy lifestyle.”
After a mean follow-up time of more than 12 years, scientists found that all types of coffee were linked to a reduction in deaths from all causes.
The greatest risk reduction was observed with two to three cups per day, which compared with no coffee consumption was associated with a 14%, 27%, and 11% lower probability of death for decaffeinated, ground, and soluble preparations, respectively.
