Brown rice is more nutritious as compared to white rice. For white rice, the rice husk, bran, is removed, which decreases the nutrient content of the rice. So, as compared to white rice, brown rice has more of dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals. Brown rice being the whole grain, helps reduce cholesterol, lowers the risk of heart diseases and type 2 diabetes, keeps you full for a long time.
