A Ugandan lecturer has warmed netizens’ hearts by taking care of his student’s baby while she wrote her exams.

Olaki says student didn’t have babysitter

According to Dr Okimait Olaki, the young lady did not have anyone to baby sist her child back at home so she tagged along the sweet baby.

“One of my students who’s also a mother had take her test but has no babysitter. So I offered to babysit. We can’t just be teaching childhood studies/development without practice & support,” he said on Twitter.

As soon as his photo hit the online platforms, netizens started gushing over it and many were impressed with his humility.

Some people cheekily asked if the baby belonged to the sociologist who graduated from the University of Stelenbosch in South Africa, while others were concerned with the smell of his armpit on the baby.

He assured them that his wife would not have a problem with it and that he smelt okay and the baby would not be affected.

Female baby sits student’s baby

In July 2022, a lecturer at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University came to the rescue of a student who had taken her baby to class with her.

The lecturer took the baby in her arms and held her as she taught her students so that the baby’s mother could pay attention to her lesson.

“At Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, we are trained to teach and nurture at the same time!” she captioned her photos on Facebook.
