According to the Post, police are hunting the robbers who raided Patron of New York, a sneaker store next door to Swift’s home in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan on Sunday.
to the New York Post, it was the second shooting on the upscale block in less than a month.
Police speaking to the Post, said four shots were fired at around 5pm on Sunday evening, September 27 but nobody was hurt as they have recovered shell casings from the scene.
Police added that three suspects fled the scene two of which were wearing blue jeans and white T-shirts, with the other in blue jeans and a blue T-shirt.
A waiter at the nearby Tamarind Tribeca restaurant on Hudson Street said: “Suddenly we heard four shots and I was freaked out.
“I saw people at the scene run. They look scared and jumped into a car.”
Another resident added: “It’s really concerning to see two gun-related crimes happen at the same place within a month.”
“It’s a family neighborhood, and I choose safety over access to fancy sneakers every time.”
As at press time, it is still unclear if Swift was home at the time of shootings.
Pictures from the scene show yellow police tape cordoning off the area following the shooting while police cruisers could be seen parked up on the scene up till Monday morning.
Swift purchased the townhouse for $18million in 2017 and also owns some apartments in the same neighborhood
