NBA star, LeBron James has officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president ahead of the U.S. presidential election.
The Lakers superstar took to social media on Thursday evening to declare his stance.
Sharing a video with clips of offensive remarks from former President Donald Trump, the Los Angeles Lakers player said in a post on X: “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!”
James isn’t the first high-profile NBA personality to endorse Harris this year, as both Steph Curry and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr have vocally backed her.
Curry spoke in a video shown at the Democratic National Convention in August in Chicago, and Kerr even gave a speech at the United Center.
“Man, what great honor it was to represent Team USA and go out there and win that gold medal at the Olympics this summer. That unity on and off the court reminded us all that together, we can do all things and continue to inspire the world,” Curry said.
“That’s why I believe that Kamala as President can bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward.”
An “Athletes for Harris” campaign includes the likes of Magic Johnson, Bucks coach Doc Rivers, All-Star Chris Paul and tennis icon Billie Jean King, USA Today reported.
