Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has firmly rejected the possibility of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen joining Turkish club Galatasaray on a permanent transfer.
Manna emphasized that Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions, does not have the financial resources to meet the €75 million buyout clause in Osimhen’s contract. “Our door is closed to negotiations. Galatasaray does not have the budget to pay this amount at this moment,” Manna told Webaslan.
The 25-year-old forward joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan in September, with the Turkish club reportedly interested in making his move permanent. Despite their interest, Manna stated that several clubs are prepared to pay the buyout clause, highlighting that the striker remains in high demand.
Osimhen has been in impressive form for Galatasaray, registering eight goals and four assists in just nine appearances across all competitions, further fueling speculation about his future. However, it seems any potential permanent move to Galatasaray is now off the table.
