Apple has gone down across the US as users report issues plaguing the App Store.
Downdetector, a site that monitors online outages, shows problems began after 11am ET and are impacting thousands of iOS users.
Apple’s System Status page highlights subscription and volume purchases outages, suggesting users cannot login into certain accounts.
But users have shared that the App Store ‘has been down for a while now’ even though the tech giant’s status page does not reflect it.
Thousands of iOS users issued reports to Downdetector, with 81 percent citing the App Store’s server connection.
The reports are coming from major cities like San Francisco, Minneapolis and New York City.
Other countries have also reported issues, including the UK and parts of Europe.
Purchasing new apps is not the only issue, as a glitch with the App Store means users can update certain apps.
One iOS users shared on X: ‘@AppleSupport can’t download app from App Store— can’t access saved payment details— is there an Apple issue going on— really frustrating!!??’
Another users posted: ‘The AppStore has been down for a while now and Apple’s status page still doesn’t reflect this.
‘It’s getting to the point where I want to get a job at Apple just to get the status checks of that page automated, and then quit and go back to my current job.’
While users cannot download new apps, Apple could be loosing revenue amid the outage.
In the second quarter of 2024, the App Store generated $24.6 billion in revenue from global users.
One X users joked about the outage on X, posting: ‘@Apple your App Store is down… Steve Jobs is turning in his grave right now.’

Apple’s current outage comes in less than 24 hours of another.
On Tuesday evening, Apple’s System Status page showed 10 functions had been knocked out.
