Apple is reportedly revamping its next-generation Vision Pro headset with a titanium build, aiming to make the device both lighter and more budget-friendly. The move is part of Apple’s ongoing effort to streamline its mixed reality lineup and broaden appeal beyond early adopters.
By switching to titanium, Apple is looking to significantly reduce the overall weight of the headset, improving comfort for longer wear. At the same time, design and engineering changes are expected to help bring down manufacturing costs — a key step toward offering a more accessible price point compared to the original Vision Pro, which launched at $3,499.
While the Vision Pro 2 is still in development, sources suggest Apple is prioritizing both ergonomics and affordability without compromising the immersive AR/VR experience that defines the Vision lineup. A release date hasn’t been confirmed, but the shift to titanium hints at a serious push toward more mainstream adoption.
