Bayelsa State commissioner of women affairs is dead.

The Bayelsa state government has announced the tragic loss of Elizabeth Bidei, a member of the State Executive Council and Commissioner for Women Affairs.

 

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Orientation, and Strategy, Hon. Mrs. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family, particularly her widower, Chief Jackson Bidei, and their children.

 

“Our hearts go out to the bereaved family. Our prayers are with them during this profoundly difficult time of grief. Our sincerest sympathies and prayers are with her loved ones at this difficult time. May they all find comfort in the knowledge that Mrs Bidei’s life and work had a profound impact on our state and its people.

 

As we mourn Mrs Bidei, we will dearly miss her and her passion as a dedicated public servant and a loyal party person, who worked tirelessly to promote the welfare and empowerment of women in our state.
