The city of Toronto has decided to withdraw public funding for Elon Musk’s Tesla cars.
US President Donald Trump had called for the annexation of Canada in addition to a tariff tax on Canadian products, and the reactions haven’t been long in coming. In Toronto, there will be no more taxis, no more rental cars, no more Tesla ride shares; financial aid will end for the company led by Elon Musk.
The city of Toronto encourages the introduction of electric cars purchased as rental vehicles to reduce emissions, but the backlash against Tesla is confirmed.
The decision was made in response to Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, who is now one of the main personal advisers to Trump and who wants Canada to become an additional 51st state, which is particularly unpopular for an independent and sovereign country.
