Court orders Reps member to produce Maina’s son who jumped bail, within nine days

Umar Sani Dan Galadima, a house of representatives member has been ordered by an Abuja federal high court to produce Faisal, son of Abdulrasheed Maina who he stood as surety for within 9 days.

The son of the former pension boss who is undergoing trial for money laundering related offences, is believed to have jumped bail. The lawmaker representing Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, had stood as a surety for Faisal and also signed a N60million bail bond before his release in December 2019.

Ruling on the case on Wednesday November 25, Justice Okon Abang directed Dan Galadima who was present in court to show cause by December 4, why he should either not forfeit the N60m he pledged while taking Faisal on bail or be sent to prison until he is able to produce the defendant.
