Four National Executive members of the Labour Party (LP) have been removed from office on Wednesday by a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
The officials include the National Chairman, Mr. Julius Abure; National Secretary, Alhaji Farouk Ibrahim; the National Organizing Secretary, Mr Clement Ojukwu and one other.
Justice Hamza Muazu in a judgment restrained the officials from parading themselves in the capacities consequent upon an ex-parte application argued by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief James Ogwu Onoja.
Onoja told the court that the restrained national officers allegedly forged several documents of the FCT High Court to unlawfully substitute in the seal and affidavits of the Court to carry out criminal activities.
The Senior lawyer who tendered several documents told Justice Muazu that the Chief Registrar of the Court wrote the LP to disown several documents used for the alleged criminal activities by Abure and the three others.
Onoja said following their indictment by the police investigation, the four people are to be arraigned in court, adding that warrants for their arrest have While ruling, Justice Muazu said the application and the supporting affidavits have out a good case for the request to be granted.
Justice Muazu subsequently ordered that the four people should immediately stop parading themselves as National Officers of the party.
