The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was conducted on Thursday, April 10.

In a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board informed candidates that they can check their results by sending the message “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the phone number they registered with for the exam.

JAMB explained that the mock UTME is optional and serves to test new innovations introduced by the board, while also providing candidates with the opportunity to experience the computer-based test environment ahead of the main examination.

The statement revealed that 200,115 candidates initially registered for the mock exam, but two candidates later withdrew, leaving 200,113 registered candidates. Out of those, 73,844 candidates were absent on exam day, and 88 candidates failed the biometric verification process. As a result, 126,181 candidates participated in the exam, with results now available for 115,735 of them. Additionally, 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released soon.

JAMB also acknowledged some delays experienced by candidates during the mock exam and expressed regret over the inconvenience. The board clarified that these disruptions were due to the introduction of new features intended to improve the main UTME.

The board reassured candidates that the mock exam is an essential part of its strategy to refine the UTME process and better prepare candidates for the main exam. It emphasized that the mock exam has successfully helped candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT environment and has contributed to improving the overall examination process.
