Scholarship to Barry University

The Twitter user, identified as Ifeade Lucie, said her friend showed tender love and care to the kids who seemed to be abandoned by their father.

He became their pillar of strength and the father they never had, taking care of their needs, including education.

“A friend of mine married a single mother who already had two children, and together they also had their kids. He treated her children as his own and gave them a loving upbringing. Recently, twin boys received a full scholarship to Barry University. The biological father unexpectedly appeared and tried to insert himself into their lives,” she wrote.

American kids defend stepfather

The netizen said the children did not give their biological father a chance to take credit for their success when he had left them alone.

Instead, they defended and praised their stepfather, who loved and cared for them and showed up in their time of need and vulnerability.

“I am incredibly proud of my friend for taking on the responsibility of caring for children who weren’t his own. I’m proud of him. And I’m proud of the boys for not being ungrateful,” she wrote.
