What’s new in the cockpit
The main novelties are found inside the Mercedes GLC Coupé 2023 and recall what we have already seen on the SUV version: 11.9″ vertical central monitor and 12.3″ digital instrumentation almost “resting” on the steering column. Animating them is the latest version of the software from Mercedes, with the voice assistant “Hey Mercedes” even more precise and prompt in its responses. The steering wheel is also new and has the same design as the latest Mercedes, with “split” horizontal spokes to house numerous controls to manage the monitor menus and driver assistance systems.
Motorizations
Mercedes-Benz has decided to equip the new series of GLC Coupé exclusively with four-cylinder two-liter gasoline and diesel engines mild hybrid with a 48V system. Buyers can choose from 204-hp (GLC 200) and 258-hp (GLC 300) gasoline engines. The 197-hp (GLC 220 d) and 269-hp (GLC 300 d) diesel engines. On the rechargeable hybrid front (plug-in), however, we find the 313-hp gasoline (GLC 300 e) and 381-hp (GLC 400 e) and the 335-hp diesel (GLC 300 de). plug-in provide 113 to 131 km of electric range.
Availability
No prices have been announced yet. But the Mercedes GLC Coupé 2023 will be available from summer 2023 with various installations and as anticipated with electrified engines only.
What’s new in the second generation
Mercedes-Benz presents the second generation of the GLC Coupé, which joins the GLC SUV introduced a few months ago. The proportions are those of the current generation, but the differences are there. As far as the exterior is concerned, the new GLC Coupé features new front and rear lights. The rear ones are much slimmer.
