The leader of the Obidient Movement and former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has approved the rollout of official identity cards and the launch of an online registration portal for members of the movement.

Announcing the development on Saturday, Obi said the initiative is aimed at creating a more organized and coordinated structure for the growing community of his supporters, popularly known as “Obidients.”

According to a statement released by his media office, the identity cards will help foster a stronger sense of belonging among members, while the online portal will serve as a secure platform for registration, communication, and mobilization efforts across the country and beyond.

Obi emphasized that the move is not politically motivated ahead of any elections but rather designed to promote accountability, transparency, and community service among Obidients.

“We are building a movement driven by values, integrity, and service to humanity. This registration process will help us better coordinate activities and engage more meaningfully with our members,” Obi said.

He also assured supporters that personal data collected through the portal would be handled with utmost confidentiality and in compliance with data protection laws.

The online registration portal is expected to go live in the coming days, with further guidelines to be communicated through official Obidient channels.
