Nigerian Rapper Phyno Shuts Down Claims of Selling ₦10 Billion Estate Over Ethnic Regret
Popular Nigerian rapper Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike, widely known as Phyno, has responded strongly to a viral claim made by an X user alleging he sold off his ₦10 billion estate in Lagos.
The user suggested that Phyno disposed of the property because he regretted building it “in Yorubaland.” The unfounded statement quickly gained attention online, prompting a fiery reaction from the artist.
Responding directly to the allegation, an upset Phyno wrote:
“You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta!”
His blunt response has since sparked widespread support from fans who condemned the post as divisive and baseless. Phyno has long been known for promoting unity through his music and collaborations across regions, making the accusation especially inflammatory.
The rapper has not issued further comments, but his clapback made it clear he won’t tolerate such rumors.
