King Charles enjoys samosa at Kenyan restaurant

The king is on an official visit to the country, and his queen, Camilla, accompanied him; the two have been touring the country, enjoying various delights on offer.

According to The British Royal Family Fanpage, Charles paid a visit to the Nairobi Street Kitchen and chatted with young entrepreneurs, artists and designers.

“His Majesty ordered a saag paneer kathi roll wrap and butter chicken samosa, joking how the dishes could ‘blow your head off’. The sous chef, Rhoda Asiyo said they had been told by Buckingham Palace not to make the dishes “too spicy” for the King,” read a part of the Facebook page.

Mail Online reports Asiyo praised the king for being down to earth.

‘The King was great, very chilled out. There were less formalities than I thought. I was nervous before knowing he would be eating our food. Indian food is very popular here in Kenya. The King ordered a favourite dish that flies off the shelves,” said the lucky chef.
