Singer Toni Braxton and rapper Birdman’s relationship has taken a surprising turn, with newly uncovered court documents revealing that the pair secretly married in August 2024—and almost immediately headed for divorce.
According to the filings, Braxton and Birdman tied the knot on August 8, 2024, in a private ceremony kept hidden from the public eye. However, just two days later, on August 10, Braxton filed for divorce, calling the marriage “irretrievably broken.”
Despite the abrupt filing, Braxton withdrew the petition in January 2025, with Birdman also agreeing to dismiss the case. As it stands, the two remain legally married, though it’s unclear whether they’re still romantically involved.
Neither Braxton nor Birdman has commented on the revelations, and attempts to contact their representatives have gone unanswered.
The pair’s relationship has long been a source of speculation. Birdman proposed back in 2018 with a lavish $1 million ring and expensive gifts, but by 2019, they had called off the engagement publicly. Since then, Braxton repeatedly downplayed rumors of reconciliation, even dismissing such claims as “#FAKENEWS” on social media in late 2023.
