The second victim who died when a 20-feet container fell on a bus has been identified as Chima Nnaekpe, 29.
On Sunday, July 27, two people were killed and three others were injured after a 20-feet container fell on a commercial bus at Ilasamaja on the Oshodi-Badagry Expressway in Lagos state.
An initial report revealed the first casualty to be a 27-year-old woman, Chidinma Ajoku (read here). The second casualty is her colleague, Chima Nnaekpe, 29. Chidinma and Chima both worked in the Commercial Department, Hajj & Cargo Terminal, at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
They were on their way home from work when a truck, with number plate, SGM 715 XA, loaded with a 20ft container, fell on a commercial bus they were on at the bus stop (read here).
In a moving video, Chidinma’s mother pleaded with the Lagos State Government to ensure that no one dies unnecessarily like her daughter did because of reckless tanker drivers on our roads.
