The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), a leading champion of entrepreneurship in Africa, has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes.
The flagship programme, which has empowered over 21,000 African entrepreneurs since its inception, offers aspiring and existing business owners a unique opportunity to receive world-class training, expert mentoring, and non-refundable seed capital funding to scale their businesses.
This year’s programme places special emphasis on businesses leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and green initiatives, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in Africa.
“We are excited to announce the opening of applications for our 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes,” said Moyosore Awotile, TEF’s Head of Communications.
“As we continue to empower African entrepreneurs, we remain committed to our mission of driving poverty eradication, job creation, and economic transformation across the continent.”
The TEF Entrepreneurship Programme is open to all African entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas or existing businesses not older than five years. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
In addition to the flagship programme, TEF is also offering the IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme, exclusively for women entrepreneurs with green business ideas or existing green businesses in select African countries.
The Aguka Ideation Programme, a partnership with the UNDP Rwanda and the Rwandan Ministry of Youths and Arts, is also available for young Rwandan entrepreneurs with business ideas.
Applications for the 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes will be accepted until March 1, 2025. Interested applicants can submit their applications through TEF’s proprietary digital hub, TEFConnect.
