Hezekiah 38 Verses 1 to 5.
In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
The King,s death was unto death and God sent a prophet to him to put his house in order.
The King heard the declaration of God and turned his face to the wall.
Firstly why did he turn his face? He didnt need any distractions. God created us for a purpose and if you are not fulfilling that purpose then you are not important to him and he doesn’t need you around.
We have to be in God,s perfect will and make ourselves useful to him.
After Prophet Isiah delivered God,s message to King Hezekiah, and the King gave God a strong reason why God should keep him alive, the prophet was still in the courtyard when God told him to stop and GO BACK.
That he, God has added more years to Hezekiah,s life.
Lesson learnt is that You must be useful to God for him to be useful to you. Function in God,s perfect will and he will keep you from the vices of the devil. Remember the book of Mat 6 vs 33, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his Righteousness and every other thing will be added unto you. This is our earthly function.
